KUMON was founded in 1958 by Mr. Toru Kumon in Japan, who was both a parent and a high school mathematics teacher. To help his son improve his math skills, he created what is now KUMON, enabling his son to learn more smoothly. Over the past 60 years, KUMON has created countless talented individuals worldwide, always adhering to Mr. Kumon's founding principles of helping children discover their infinite potential and achieving greater success in learning. KUMON, the largest supplementary education system in the UK and Ireland, provides personalized courses tailored to each child's ability, offering children space to unlock their full potential. 10-year-old Marcell from the UK has excelled in mathematics and English since joining the Kumon Hemel Hempstead Learning Center in September last year. Initially, Marcell relied on his fingers to do math calculations. According to his KUMON teacher, Judy, "Marcell has great motor skills, but his letter and number sequences were inaccurate," and she also noticed that Marcell lacked confidence and focus. However, these issues did not stop KUMON from unlocking Marcell's unlimited potential, and Marcell has been working hard to improve and grow through KUMON.

KUMON teacher Judy believes, "Marcell is always highly motivated and enthusiastic about learning. Now, he can sit focused at his desk until he finishes his work. After correcting his work, he carefully checks it again, learns from his mistakes, and corrects them seriously." Marcell's mother, Renata, also noticed changes in her son, from initially relying on the teacher's help to now independently completing his KUMON progress chart. His math and grammar skills have improved significantly, boosting Marcell's confidence. Marcell himself says, "I can finish my math homework faster than before, and I'm performing at a higher level. I'm happy I can read fluently, and my mistakes aren't as frequent as before. I study every afternoon and weekend, and even my school teacher noticed it. She told my mom that I'm doing well at school."

After 10 months, Marcell is about to finish his 6th year in the program, and he has shown significant improvement and achievements in his studies. His mother is very supportive of his self-learning ability, fluency in reading, and the progress he has made in math through KUMON. In recent years, she has been extremely satisfied with Marcell's achievements and has recommended KUMON to other parents. She believes that KUMON's personalized teaching approach helps children discover their limitless potential, which is a wonderful thing. Both KUMON teacher Judy and his mother are very proud of Marcell.
