"Give children time to absorb, only then can they continuously improve."
Li-Tong from KUMON Zuoying Wutian Chongai Center has been accompanied by her mother in reading storybooks from a very young age. However, after the birth of her second sibling, it became difficult to find time for this. Later, upon a friend's recommendation, her mother enrolled Li-Tong in KUMON Chinese lessons. KUMON’s 7A materials first helped her recognize Chinese characters, and Li-Tong loved learning so much that she quickly progressed to learning phonetic symbols and was soon able to use them fluently. She even told her mother: "#Now I can read storybooks by myself!" This made her mother feel very pleased. One day, after KUMON class, Li-Tong spontaneously told her mother that she wanted to learn math just like the older children in the class. Not only did #her enthusiasm for learning explode, but her ability and progress also continued to surpass expectations.
After entering elementary school, Li-Tong began reading extracurricular books during breaks and would even create book lists based on articles or themes from KUMON materials. Learning Chinese became her way to relieve stress, and she has now reached the middle school level. Throughout her KUMON journey, in addition to improving her calculation and reading comprehension skills, Li-Tong also #developed a daily learning routine and became #self-motivated without needing reminders.
Li-Tong’s mother highly recommends KUMON to other parents but also emphasizes that a child’s abilities need to be accumulated over time to build real strength, rather than focusing on scores. The learning journey is long, and a solid foundation must be built. Don't rush through the progress, and never compare children. #Give children time to absorb, only then can they continuously improve.
